About Dr. Knox

For those of you who are not my patients, here is a little bit of information about me:

I have been a physician for almost 40 years. During those 40 years I have practiced a lot of different specialties and types of medicine.

I graduated from the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1973.   From there I went to medical school at the University of Miami in Florida. After graduation from medical school, I began an Air Force surgical residency but after three years of no home or personal life, I gave that up and practiced general medicine for five years. I later trained in radiology and  became a board certified radiologist.  Upon completion of my radiology training,  I was asked to teach radiology at Travis AFB, California, which I did for the next seven years.

During my last several years in the Air Force, I became interested in alternative medicine. That led me to train in acupuncture and Chinese medicine after I retired from the Air Force in 1996. Since then I have continued my medical education by also training in homeopathy.

I currently have a practice in San Leandro, California where I specialize in the holistic treatment of airborne and food allergies, pain management, auto-immune disorders, and bio-identical hormone replacement.  I combine my allopathic, Western medicine background with Eastern medicine.

I hope you enjoy my website.
